obi: mom. can i be a policeman when i grow up?
me: yep. you can be anything you want to be.
conner: i still am gonna be a garbage man.
me: awesome.
obi: conner, i get to be a policeman and shoot people. i could shoot you. but i won't. i will only shoot robbers.
conner: what if they shoot you first and your dead.
obi: well i'll just take cover. and shoot them first always.
conner: you can't take cover in the desert.
obi: i don't live on the desert.
conner: but you could when you grow up.
obi: but i won't. i live here on earth. not the desert.
conner: the desert is on the earth obi. and you can't take cover in the desert.
obi: but i live on the earth, and there isn't a desert.
conner: it's on the other side of earth.
obi: well, i am only going to live on this side of earth. over here. this side. only.
conner: ok. but you still might not be able to take cover.
obi: i can always take cover.
merrick: i'm going to be iron man, and boom all the robbers away with my fi-ya. (fire)

So funny. I love listening to my kids conversations. I also loved your story about working at Sizzler. You are so funny!! I was laughing out loud. It sounded so painful though...
